7 fun things to do this summer in Kirkland
By: Coral Noyd ~ 7/18/2011

Dive In!
Take a stroll on the Waverly Beach Park dock and dive in the lake to cool off, float on your air mattress or lounge about on an inner tube.  You'll cool off and feel like a kid at summer camp again!

Get Uncorked!
Kirkland Uncorked takes place at 25 Lakeshore Plaza with proceeds benefiting the Hope Heart Institute. Learn the art of grilling,  visit the tasting garden to sample Pacific Northwest wines, view the latest in K-9 fashions on the runway in the Promenade and sit, relax and enjoy the live music!

Visit the Golden Age of Harlem without leaving Kirkland!
Seattle Rep's Jazz Orchestra performs jazz straight from Harlem (1920-1935) and the Seattle Art museum will treat you to images of paintings by Jacob Lawrence to set the context.

Treat Yourself!
Treat yourself and a new acquaintance to one of Kirkland's restaurant.  You'll discover restaurants with an ethnic flare, traditional Northwest cuisine, cozy neighborhood cafes and water-view dining.

Take the Art Walk!
Add a little culture and stretch your legs.  For July's Art Walk works arrive from all over - Spain to Seattle.  In August the Art Walk showcases 250 artists.

See it Live!
Skip down the yellow brick road with Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion or let your imagination run wild with the wonders of radio at the Imagination Theater.

Relax your Soul (and body too!)
Enjoy a massage, experience foot rituals, Reiki healing, ear candling and the wonders of yoga at Soul Ease a holistic yoga spa.
